The Olympus M.Zuiko ED 75mm f1.8; a fast, compact, portable, 150mm crop factor equivalent telephoto prime that is practically perfect in every way, just like Mary Poppins. Simply pop it onto the front of your OM-3 for example and take it walkabout and revel in what it can do for your photography. I decided to do a series of photos on the theme of circles with it on this particular day...
Circles and circular shaped objects are to be found everywhere and can be fun to photograph. like this steering wheel on a very early motor car.
Then again there is this headlight adapted for the blackout in WW2.
Equally this wooden spoked wheel also from a very early motor car!
Maybe you prefer these headlamps on an early Dennis fire engine?
Bicycle wheels are a bit too obvious maybe?
The eccentric cam on the end of this crankshaft would describe wheels within wheels and thus draw circles within circles when in motion which is fun.
As you can see from the pictures above the M.Zuiko ED 75mm f1.8 is indeed a lovely optic worthy of its reputation and a lens that I have owned and used for a very long time. It is sitting on my desk next to me as I type this and brings a smile to my face to glance at it and think about when I will take it walkabout with me again. Soon my friend, soon.
