Equipment

I value MFT equipment that provides performance with portability, out-of-mind until I need it, powerful when I do, as I have to pack light for long periods when on walkabout. I also have a predilection for compact fast primes but use zooms when convenience or circumstances demand.

This is an awful lot of kit, especially lenses, for one photographer to own but I regard it as my toolkit. each item in the kit has its place and its specific application but it was never, ever intended to be carried around together as some super sized outfit in a gargantuan backpack, say. Rather I have a golden rule: I mix and match the cameras and lenses I actually carry based upon the likely needs of a given venture but never more than one camera body and up to at most three lenses (the fewer the better) at any one time. Too much equipment toted around on any particular walkabout is an impediment to good photography. As you can see I am a sucker for good glass!
