Subscribing to the philosophy that photographs are where you find them, I wander around seeing what I can encounter and grab a picture of it with a camera that goes everywhere with me. I am a perpetual snapper of unconsidered trifles as it were.

I take photographs just for the fun of it, for the sheer enjoyment of the process and for the sense of well being it brings. Photography for me is a bit of a way of life really and a great outlet for creative expression. I know that I am in good company in this respect.

I love light, light makes a photograph, it is the key to good photography. I can sometimes spend a lot of time watching and waiting for the light to be just right to catch it in that instant before it is gone for ever.

I try to take photographs that create a feeling that you could to step into the picture and share the experience.

I have a fondness for capturing the spirit of places and things I encounter along my way to preserve memories and moments in time that will never come again. That is the power of photography.
